Car Maintenance

Some people think that running indoors cars will not be take as much of a ‘bashing’ as they do outdoors. On the one hand I agree with this as the straight is not as long (less top speed, for big crashes!) and there are no stones etc. to get in the diffs and mark the chassis. On the other hand you are still going very fast with 19t motors indoors, there is a lot of grip on quite a tight track and the real killer is ‘fluff’ and dust from the carpet. All this goes together to make for some good crashes (good if it isn’t your car) and also increases what I would call gradual wear and tear. By this I mean steering and suspension becomes a bit too free as the parts wear and you have problems with bearings in the hubs etc. becoming gritty or even failing.
